Discover My Creative Path
Art has always been my way of understanding the world. From traditional techniques to digital experimentation, my work is a constant exploration of the relationship between technology, storytelling, and human expression.
Who I Am
I am Jean-François Larouche, artistically known as Monsieur Jee—an artist, designer, and creative technologist based in Montreal, Quebec. My work is deeply rooted in the interplay between art, technology, and speculative storytelling.
Since my earliest encounters with computers, I have perceived technology not merely as a tool but as a conduit for boundless creativity. I began my professional journey as a graphic designer, then transitioned into interactive art direction, and currently serve as a creative director.
My work encompasses visual design, interactive media, generative art, and artificial intelligence, all centered around the evolving relationship between human creativity and computational systems.
“It’s not about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen.”
— Scott Belsky
Exploration & Experimentation
Beyond my professional endeavors, my artistic drive has always been intrinsic. Whether through illustration, playing guitar, painting, photography, or working with vinyl cutting techniques using my Cricut, I continuously explore new methodologies for expression.
My creative ethos revolves around the intersection of organic and synthetic processes, investigating the synergy between natural phenomena and digital abstraction.
“Every great design begins with an even better story.”
— S Lorinda Mamo, Designer / Creative Director
